Amani Zouehid
Hi! My name is Amani Zouehid, I was born and raised in Venezuela, where I began playing the cello at the age of seven through the renowned El Sistema program. Looking back, I realize that learning music gave me so much more than the ability to play an instrument, it gave me a way to connect with people, discover new cultures, and express myself in ways words couldn't.
Since then, music has taken me on an incredible journey. I recently earned my Master's degree in Cello Performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and completed a two-year Orchestral Fellowship with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
Along the way, I've had the opportunity to perform with wonderful musicians, collaborate on concerts and recordings, and share music with audiences in many different settings. Every experience has shaped me as both a performer and a teacher, and it continues to remind me why I love what I do.
